Nicros-SegWall™ was added to the line as an answer to customers’ needs for a complete wall package, delivered to the site, and ready for installation. The end result is a stunning piece of rock – dropped right into your facility!

Nicros-SegWallTM is a fiberglass climbing wall system made of “segmented” wall panels (hence the name). A Nicros-SegWall™ climbing wall is a great addition to any health or fitness club, shopping mall, recreation center, school, etc. A Nicros-SegWall™ climbing wall ranges in width from 68-92 inches depending on the configuration of which segments are used and sticks out from an existing wall 34-46 inches. The standard design is 24 feet tall and is made of eight segments.

 

The Nicros SegWall is similar to the Entre Prises (EP) Imprint Panels, Eldorado Chameleon, Eldorado Gecko, and Extreme Aspire 2 climber, Stationary Deluxe Climber Element 4 Climbers, Monolith 5 Climbers, and Semi-Round Panel System.

One advantage of this system is its versatility. Nicros-SegWall™ can be configured differently depending on the facility’s needs. The overhang can be placed high or low, or the segments can be configured so the wall is directly vertical for beginning climbers or children. Segments can even be re-arranged at a future date to provide a different challenge. The standard design is 24 feet tall and is made of eight segments.

 

 

Each segment of Nicros-SegWall™ is molded from real rock to give a realistic rock-like look and feel with natural features that are usable for climbing. Handholds are added to the surface of the wall to make the climbing easier, but the wall can be ascended with just the natural features alone. Because these segments are molded from real rock, this wall offers features that can only be duplicated by mother nature.

Because the surface of the climbing wall is featured, thus providing a truly rock-like appearance, the handholds that are used on this wall should have a smaller surface area in contact with the wall itself. This will help each handhold sit properly against the wall.

A Nicros-SegWall™ climbing wall has the smooth, cool feel of real rock. Made from fiberglass, this wall does sound hollow as you climb up it – because it is! The care put into the features of the rock make this a lot less like competitor fiberglass systems. It offers features that only mother nature can supply. The texture is superior to competitor products in that it is not slippery – a special gel coat is added during the manufacturing process that actually imbeds a granite-like texture to the entire surface of the fiberglass segment. This allows the climber to smear, flag, and use all of the natural features, without slipping off.

 

Installation is as simple as setting the segments in place and bolting them together. The first two Nicros-SegWall™ segments are bolted to the floor, to an existing wall, and to each other. Each remaining segment is then set into place and bolted down to the adjacent segment and to an existing reinforced wall.

The standard design consists of eight segments which provides approximately 450 sq. ft. of climbing surface. This design sells for $20,499 plus shipping and installation. In addition to the climbing wall “skin” (made up of the eight segments), the Nicros-SegWall™ package includes the anchor framework, three auto-belays, 4 harnesses, 80 handholds, and mounting hardware for connecting the climbing wall to the building.
