Nicro-Mulch™ is very realistic looking and provides a padded surface without being an eyesore. Because it is so realistic looking, Nicro-Mulch™ goes great with A.R.T.Wall™ so the landing surface matches the natural style of the climbing wall. Using rubber mulch chips as the top surface in Nicro-Mulch™ helps the surface to blend in with surroundings and allows it to not be visually invasive.
The surface is realistic looking and meant to have the look of cedar chips or wood mulch. It is uniform in both depth and overall feel as you walk across it.
Despite it’s mulchy appearance, when you land on Nicro-MulchTM, the surface is even and consistent.
To begin, a foam underlayer is installed throughout the area that will contain the landing surface. This foam is normally a minimum of four inches thick but can be custom tailored to meet your facility’s specific needs. Once the base layer foam is installed, the rubber chunks are mixed with special binding agents. The rubber mixture is then poured in place atop the foam to create a seamless rubber landing surface that looks like cedar chips.
Because Nicro-MulchTM is a custom product, there is a price range and the cost will vary depending on a number of factors including total square feet, accessibility, and overall shape of the landing surface. To get an accurate quote for your facility, please call a customer service representative.
